A Content Heart

One of the most wonderful feelings I get as a mom is peeking in to see all my children tucked safely in their beds, it warms my heart and nothing else matters. I have lots of pictures of them sleeping...so sweet. Lord I thank you so much for the gift of each of my children. Tayler my son and Alyssa and Kaylee my daughters...I feel so blessed to be their mom. I love the small things my kids do that touch my heart. I went to a baby shower on Saturday and when I returned Kaylee sweetly looked at me and said.."Mom I'm glad you came back." Makes me tear up even typing it. She does that quite often with the very sincere "Mom...I love you". Tayler is so sensitive and thoughtful as well, on the same day while I was at the shower, he directed the girls in an art project of painting hands and making me a beautiful picture. Alyssa loves to repeat a conversation we had when it was just her and myself in the truck one day. We had some good music on and we were jammin! Laughing so hard our bellies hurt...I told her it was healthy to laugh....so now everytime she laughs she says "mom says it's healthy to laugh." :) Alyssa is also so caring and really feels for people who are suffering as well as animals. I learn so much from all three of them and it's amazing to me how many times God has spoke to me through them.
Lord please continue to show me how to be the best mom I can be to my kids.

Pictures!

I love to take pictures! I don't have some super fancy camera...maybe someday but one of my greatest joys is taking pictures. I love to look back on them and reflect on the memories. I also hope to find the time to scrapbook them someday. I just went through pics on the computer for 2009 and what an awesome year it was. God is so good and continues to bless us. We have enjoyed being involved with our church and smile when we remember moving to Omaha not knowing what was in store for us. New city, new people, new job for Brad, new schools, etc. so many changes but God helped us already having prepared our way. We will have lived here in Omaha 5 years this coming July and really feel "at home" here. We do know that we won't live here long term but we can have confidence in God that he has a new wonderful place for us when the time comes.

More to come......
